Masseria Baroni Nuovi is located in the heart of the Salento region, among olive groves and vineyards. It is an old farmhouse renovated in a modern and artistic style, while retaining the charm of time and tradition.

We recommend flying into Brindisi-Salento (also known as Papola Casale) Airport, which is a 15-20 minute drive to the venue. The UK airports that fly direct to Brindisi are: Stansted, Gatwick and Heathrow. You could also fly to Bari Airport which is a 1 hour and 30 minute drive to the venue. Puglia is mainly served by Ryanair, British Airways and Easyjet airlines. We recommend visiting their websites or using Skyscanner to search for flights.

Please note that Uber does not exist in Puglia. The best way to reach the venue is by car. We would recommend renting a car from the airport to also give you the freedom to explore the region. There is also free parking available on-site. The venue offers a taxi service to & from the wedding venue. The cost for this service is €55 each way for up to 4 guests. More details on how to book will be shared nearer the time.

Things to do

Mesagne

- 10 min drive from the venue -

A charming town rich in historical heritage and architecture. You can find a small historic centre with iconic sites including churches and a castle, as well as cafes, restaurants and boutiques.

Lecce

- 40 min drive from the venue –

Known as the ‘Florence of the South’. Explore the beautiful architecture of the historic centre, such as the Roman Amphitheatre in the main square (Piazza Sant’Oronzo), the Lecce Cathedral in Piazza del Duomo and the extravagant Basilica di Santa Croce church.

Monopoli

- 50 min drive from the venue –

A unique coastal town with whitewashed houses. Monopoli is perfect for a day trip, where you can stroll around the narrow alleyways and passages in the old town and explore historical buildings such as the Basilica of the Madonna della Madia, Monopoli Cathedral and Castle of Charles V. There are also several small beaches dotted along the coast.

Polignano al Mare

- 50 min drive from the venue –

A picturesque town on the Adriatic sea with an iconic rocky beach, limestone cliffs (famous for cliff diving) and natural caves. The historic centre is a maze of narrow streets that slope down towards a tiny beach with turquoise water, the Lama Monachile, which cuts the cliff in two.

Alberobello

- 1 hour drive from the venue -

A small fairytale-like town famous for its iconic ‘trulli’ (white-cone roofed houses). Alberobello is a UNESCO World Heritage Site full of Instagrammable trulli-lined streets, where you can also find souvenir shops and restaurants. Other places of interest include a heritage museum (Trullo Sovrano), Sant'Antonio Church, as well as the possibility to do food tours and cooking classes.

Otranto

- 1 hour 10 min drive from the venue –

Known as the pearl of Salento. This town is located in a harbour along the east coast of the Adriatic Sea. Explore the picturesque old town with houses painted in bright colours where you’ll find small streets full of bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. Other attractions include Aragonese Castle and the Cathedral of Saint Maria Assunta. You’ll also find street artists performing in the city centre in the evenings.

Gallipoli

- 1 hour drive from the venue –

Deriving from the Greek name meaning ‘beautiful city’, Gallipoli is also known as the ‘Pearl of the Ionian Sea’. The city is divided into two parts - the historic old town and the modern district, separated by a 17th century bridge. The ancient bridge takes you to many souvenir shops, restaurants and craft workshops in the historic centre. Other attractions include the Aragonese Castle, Greco-Roman fountain and Cathedral of Santa Agata. The coastline is also full of long sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, such as Baia Verde, Punta della Suina and Rivabella.

Santa Maria di Leuca

- 1 hour 30 min drive from the venue -

Situated on the point of the peninsula’s ‘heel of the boot’, where the Adriatic and Ionian Seas meet. Attractions include the important lighthouse and the Basilica della Madonna de Finibus Terrae ('End of the Land'), a place of pilgrimage for centuries. We recommend taking a boat cruise through the legendary sea caves of the Salento coast.

How can I get to the venue?

As the venue is in a rural location, the best way to get there is by car. If you are not renting a car we advise on taking a taxi which can be arranged in advance. More details will be shared soon.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please can you aim to RSVP by Wednesday 14th February 2024, so we can ensure that we have an accurate headcount :).

What if I have dietary requirements?

You can let us know if you have any dietary requirements or allergies when you RSVP. Alternatively, you can also get in touch with us to let us know.

What will the weather be like?

Puglia in the Summer is very warm - around mid-30's. Please make sure you wear lots of sun cream and bring your shades! The ceremony and party will take place in the evening when we expect the weather to be slightly cooler.

What should I wear to the wedding?

The dress code is smart/casual & summery (stilettos and pointed heels are not recommended due to cobblestones, grass etc).

Is parking available at the venue?

Yes, there is plenty of free parking available at the venue.
